UA Local 342 Press Releases

2026 PRIMARY ENDORSEMENTS
Published on Sunday, May 10, 2026

The following list of endorsements is provided by your UA Local 342 Committee on Political Education (COPE) for the June 2, 2026, primary election. The political positions of local, state, and national politicians, as well as the impact of state and local ballot propositions, is vital to the future of this Local Union and its membership. Therefore, the task and responsibility of vetting candidates and measures is not taken lightly. Our endorsements are produced following careful attention to the public and private statements, campaign contributors, and voting records of those running for office in our work jurisdiction and where our membership resides. We interview candidates personally, whenever possible, to understand their stance on issues important to Local 342 and organized labor as a whole. We also rely on the recommendation of local, regional, and statewide labor and building trades councils, who have interviewed a number of local candidates about issues important to working families and their unions. We implore you to refer to consider the impact your vote has on working people, urge you to utilize this list when voting, and to support those candidates and measured backed by UA Local 342 COPE.
